How to Start

Interested in learning more?

Interested? As a part of our mission, we would love to be of help to you. For that matter, we would love for you to be of help to us, as we serve God with a Christ-centered focus. Whether it is Christ Church, or some place else, pray that God would show you where to commit yourself to His people in His service. And should you wish to get to know us better, here’s how to start.

Guest Reception:  You’ll get lots of information about who we are and what’s going on at Christ Church during our informal Guest Reception held each Sunday morning in side sanctuary immediately following the worship service. Why not come and join us on your first Sunday, meet the pastor and other church members, receive a gift, and find out more and introduce yourself to us over some light refreshments?

Christianity Explored: Christianity Explored is an informal ten-week course for people who’d like to investigate Christianity, or just brush up on the basics. It explores who Jesus was, what his aims were, and what it means to follow him. You’re not asked to pray, sing, or read aloud, and you can ask any question you like. Or, if you prefer, you can come along and simply listen. Check the worship folder announcements for dates, times, and places.

Newcomers’ Dessert: Newcomers’ desserts are a great place to learn more about the vision and work of Christ Church. They provide opportunity to meet friendly members of Christ Church and eat cake! Ask at Guest Reception about dates, times, and places.

Supper Six: The pastor and his wife want to share a meal with you! Supper Six evenings provide you with an opportunity to join with a few others and enjoy a meal with our pastor and his wife. Want to know more about who we are, what we’re doing, and where we’re headed? Want to explore how you can become a part of the vision and work at Christ Church? Want to ask about the relationship between the hypostatic union and the kenosis as foreshadowed in Second Temple Judaism? Just curious about what the pastor wears on his day off? Here’s your chance! Ask at Guest Reception about dates, times, and places.

Membership Matters: Membership Matters is a series of classes that are designed to introduce prospective members to the key doctrines, commitments, and expectations of Christ Church. Those who complete the series of classes are invited, but not compelled, to become members of Christ Church. This is an excellent opportunity to become familiar with us.

Personal Appointment: Do you have questions regarding the Christian faith or concerns that are either sensitive or personal in nature? We’re here to help. You may schedule an appointment to meet with our pastor or another qualified member of our church leadership team by inquiring at guest Reception or calling the church office.
